Sean has had a passion for images since the age of 11 and started his career in professional photography 30 years ago. After Blackpool photographic college and 3 years assisting in the north and London he spent two year in the Caribbean as a ships photographer. Before forming photogenics in 1988 specialising in architectural and interior photography. Sean works throughout the UK, Europe and many other parts of the world. Always striving for the best quality images for his very demanding client base. He has always been a big advocate of large format cameras and extensive use of camera movements for drama and full image control. Being from the era of the 4x5 transparency he is a great believer of getting the image right in the camera. Now fully immersed in digital capture he uses both Hasselblad and Linhof systems to give the quality the clients want and expect. Sean is well known for his largescale interiors when he makes great use of both flash and tungsten lighting to control the environment and make dramatic images. He has won numerous awards throughout the years and is in great demand from clients throughout Europe. Over the last few years he has become involved in both lifestyle and people photography to compliment his architectural images for annual reports and advertising campaigns. Since his move to digital capture he has been asked to speak to other photographers on behalf of companies like Hasselblad, Pro-photo and Linhof. Stressing the need for quality, not quantity in today’s digital world.
