Kelly Hearn’s passion for photography began at High School after encouragement from her art teacher. This led to her studying photography at South Downs College, together with media studies and psychology. It was at this time that her career in professional photography started with her assisting with Saturday Weddings for Simon John Photographs Ltd. She is still with them, but now shooting her own weddings.

Kelly gained her Licentiateship in wedding photography in 2003 at the tender age of twenty and as recently received her Associateship in the same field. This panel of work was nominated for the Peter Grugeon Award for its originality and high standard of presentation.

At the prestigious British Photography Awards ceremony in 2007, Kelly received four certificates of merit for 'Outstanding Work' and won the Avant Garde category in Wedding Photography. These awards were only topped by Winning and currently being UK Wedding Photographer of The Year. All this at the age of twenty five!

Kelly’s photographic style is both modern and timeless. She uses her subjects, lighting and choice of background to create a lasting wedding portrait that can be seen as 'Art' but still captures the feeling of the couple’s big day.
 
Kelly has now started working towards her Fellowship, which she aims to achieve in the next two or three years.
