Tom Murray LBIPP |
Tom Murray is the holder of a variety of International Awards for his Photography. These include newspaper assignments, theatre and advertising commissions as well as specialist portrait commissions in Europe, Africa and USA. Tom has worked with some of the worlds greatest photographers; Eve Arnold, Helmut Newton, Lord Snowdon, Norman Parkinson, Bill Connors, Bill King, Sarah Moon, Guy Bourdin, Clive Arrowsmith and Norman Eales. 2008 is the 40th Anniversary of the MAD DAY SUMMER of 68 collections. Tom's photographs of the Beatles are considered the very best colour images from that day. The Beatles photographs are in many collections:- The Museum of London, The Radio & Television Museum in L.A. and in private collections including those of Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. After 50years behind the lens, I am very proud to bring examples of my work to PTO 2009, along with some anecdotes of my career and I will try to keep it light-hearted and informative and keep everyone awake before dinner. I hope that everyone will see the variety of work that I have managed to cover i my career, starting with press photography on plate cameras and with stories and images from the past and plans for the future. |
