Llewellyn Robins has covered many aspects of professional photography in his career. He started as an aerial photographer, and opened his own GP business when he was 22 years old. Shortly after he gained his Associateship in Commercial and Industrial photography. His business changed direction after a few years to specializing in social photography and he was awarded a Fellowship in Portraiture by the BIPP, RPS and MPA in 2001.
Llewellyn has a comprehensive knowledge of photographic qualifications and distinctions having been a judge for the M.P.A. and the B.I.P.P. He is also a former chairman of a distinctions and qualifications panel for the R.P.S. and the BIPP.
In recent years Llewellyn has been producing more art based photography and in 2009 he won the Towergate Fine Art award. He likes to experiment with more unusual aspects of photography such as slow/high speed, painting with light, natural distortion and close-up to produce pictures which hang in homes and receptions for the pleasure of his friends and clients. The computer is a last resort for Llewellyn, who likes to visualise the final picture at the camera stage of image making.
