Hasselblad UK have been a sponsor of Photo Training Overseas for over a decade and invariably the representative on the overseas training courses was Derek Gatland who himself had been involved on the sales side with the then Swedish giant for many years. To the industry he was probably seen as the face of  Hasselblad UK which was most certainly the case as far as PTO was concerned.

Sadly in this rapidly changing world of photography Derek was made redundant last year after Hasselblad was taken over by a Danish company. PTO wanted to publicly acknowledge the great support Derek had provided over the years by making an award at the 21st Anniversary event held in Lanzarote in January 2008.
