Lesley Wood

Lesley has achieved what many people only ever dream of - a total change of direction to enable the passion of a lifetime to become her new career.

Lesley spent 20 years as an Entomologist working in insect pest research, avery successful period in which she always strove for excellence in everything she did. Passionate about photography since her childhood days and enormously encouraged by her father, Lesley always had a camera to hand wherever she went. Photography was incorporated into her scientific career whenever possible and over the years she became her employers' photographer as well as their biologist. Her work often involved giving presentations and seminars to many hundreds of people where she would stun the audience with her breathtaking insect photography. After winning several UK and International wildlife photographic competitions, Lesley decided that photography should be her chosen career.

She left her job in science to become a professional photographer in April 2007, transferring her passion for excellence to the world of photographing people as they are photographed best - relaxed, natural, happy and comfortable in their own environment. Lesley's beautiful natural images capture every detail and the very essence of the subject's personality. People who see her images often say that they feel that they know her clients even though they have never met them.

Specialising in Lifestyle Portraiture and Weddings, Lesley has built her company on the core value of 'Excellence' and this theme is apparent in every aspect of her image, branding, marketing and customer care.

Lesley would like to share her story with other photographers and to pass on the details of how she built her business and brand to enable her to successfully launch into the county of Cheshire - one of the most competitive and lucrative areas of the UK.

Lesley is a real inspiration to all amateur photographers dreaming of that ultimate change of career!
