PTO Digital Photo Competitions

Competition Entries

PTO are inviting digital entries via WeTransfer which is described opposite.  This ensures that all delegates have the opportunity to enter with minimal cost to themselves. Entries are invited for submission at any time with a closing date of 30th November 2018 NO EXCEPTIONS.

Delegates may submit any number of entries with the first one being free of charge, however subsequent entries will be charged at £5 or 5 Euro per additional image. Categories are PORTRAIT / WEDDING / OPEN.

If you are thinking of submitting by CD or DVD, please first consider using the WeTransfer option.  It is extremely reliable, will save you time and also allow us to collate all competition entries more efficiently.  However, if you would still rather send a CD or DVD you must indicate the category and include your name on the face of the disc. If you are submitting into different categories please put your images into different folders with your name and categories clearly marked on the disc. Your disc should be accompanied by any remittance due with your entry.

All photo competition submissions into the wedding and portrait categories must have been taken by the author on the day of the wedding or portrait shoot (i.e. the commissioned photographer). All other wedding or portrait images must be entered into the ‘OPEN’ category. No names to appear on the front of images and please supply border-less images.

All images will receive a critique by our judging panel at the resort but the finalists will have been pre-selected with top quality prints made by ‘Loxley Colour’ at no cost to the delegate. Prints will be taken out to the resort and judged by a panel made up from the speakers and displayed during the week.

All entries must be 300dpi jpgs and to 16 inch on the longest side. We we will add sight-line and borders so please submit images only as requested (no names, no sight-lines and no borders). Our laboratory sponsors ‘Loxley Colour’ will print all finalists images to the same high standard at 20″ x 16″ and mount them on lightweight foam board. Any entry which ignores these basic rules will be eliminated from the competition.

Superb trophies – sponsored by ‘The Societies’ will again be presented to the winners and runners-up. All short-listed entries receiving merits.

Loxley Colour have kindly added a raft of great prizes and discount product vouchers for all category winners and runners up.

Inspiration Art Competition

After the huge success of the Master Classes conducted by Llewellyn Robins in Egypt way back in 2011 where delegates were required to seek out artistic images – the PTO organisers have continued with this competition each year since to encourage delegates to see things differently. Delegates can create a piece of ‘Inspirational Art’ at anytime during their training week and submit the image or images at the end of the week for viewing and judging. A major prize will be awarded to the creator of the most inspirational work of art provided by one of our sponsoring companies!
